Dr. Fone by Wondershare for Android is a an easy-to-use recovery tool designed to recover information from your Android smartphone or tablet, even if it is damaged or malfunctioning. Dr. Fone runs on Windows Operating Systems starting from XP up until Windows 8, and it requires very little resources to run. This means that it should also work smoothly on older computers.

Using Dr. Fone is simple and easy for users who are not tech savvy. You simply connect the phone to your PC and run the program. After the program recognizes your device, you only need to hit the scan button and Dr. Fone will scan your phone for contacts, messages, call logs, attachments, multimedia, and document files.

After the scan is completed, you can view the recovered information and select what you want to add back to phone or computer. Not only can you backup your information onto your PC, but you can recover and restore data that has been deleted from your phone.

Dr. Fone works for rooted and unrooted phones. It is an excellent tool to have for anyone using a smartphone, whether you have important files or you simply want to restore a family photo that was accidentally deleted.

You can try Dr. Fone before you buy it by downloading the limited, trial version. On this version, you will not be able to save recovered files from your phone/tablet to your computer. If you are satisfied with the product, you can buy it for $49.95.

Guest Can this app recover files from Samsung Galaxy S5 - internal memory (believed to be often referred to as "USB memory" or "internal flash memory"). I accidentally deleted some important "memo" app files from my brand new S5 (think they're probably just text files, however). Although my phone has a 64GB SD card in it, I doubt the deleted files are on that, seeing as I'm not all that much "Android familiar" at this point. The "memo" app is the " bare-bones original" app that came with the phone, not the so-called "essentials" version, which I think is called "S memo".
Also, if all fail, can this app retrieve files as "raw data" from the S5 internal memory?
